Baby it’s WARM outside!

I always thought it would be fun to mix up the holidays a bit – decorate Valentine’s eggs, hang marshmellow peeps and ghosts on the Christmas tree. Wouldn’t that be fun??

So my version of this idea for now, is that we are going to celebrate Xmas in July!

Special gifts are available, that only come from me, “Mz. Claus”, but this one time a year.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, or another holiday in the winter months, I think the SPIRIT of giving threads through them, as it does here as well!

How This All Started:

For many summers past I had a Xmas in July party on or near July 25th. We’d do a White Elephant gift exchange, I pulled out ALLL the decorations & lights, we’d decorate sugar cookies, the whole she-bang. It really was a ton of fun! And the theme was always “Funky Xmas Outfits!”

I also made it an option to bring a non-perishable food donation to the party that I would take to our local food bank.

Non-profits of all kinds, food pantries included, often get influxes of donations during the winter holiday season, but need our generosity all year long to keep serving their public. I feel like this is especially true last year and even still, due to so many covid related layoffs, businesses closing & general financial challenges to many in our country. I believe whole heartedly that if we are to remain strong in our nation, we have to look out for each other.

In the spirit of the year long giving, I’m encouraging you all to make a donation to your local food bank sometime before July 25th.
